Hello Zen mode my old friend - Release 0.2.2-beta

New major features hitting this week: puzzle frame and Zen mode.
Zen mode was taken out of the game some time ago because of the changes in how the game is played. It's back now, but changed a bit.

With those features implemented we're hitting beta :).
Next up on the list, the dreaded UI rework.

Changelog:

Zen mode

Zen mode is selectable from puzzle selection menu. When you play in zen mode, you start with one piece on board and get one matching piece to place. When joined - you get a new one until the puzzle is done.

Puzzle frame

Puzzle frame (more of an area) is visible now on board. It shows the size of the complete puzzle. If you place pieces in the correct place in the frame, they get locked in and cannot be moved anymore. There is also option in pause menu to show puzzle 'ghost' preview in the frame with adjustable visibility. Locked pieces can be highlighted using the 'L' key.

Other changes

  • Performance improvements for joining puzzles
  • Squashed a couple of bugs with joining pieces that I had trouble to replicate before
  • Changed piece count selection slider to work of preset values instead of jumping 50 pieces at a time
  • Camera improvements:
    • Added more smoothing to the camera movement. It should now feel better both via keybord and mouse
    • Camera is now bound in an area around the puzzle frame. When you drag the camera too far, it gets returned to a valid position

Enjoy,
Bartek
